I’ve been holding on to this beautiful Ankara print fabric for months because it was too beautiful to mess up therefore I made sure to MEASURE TWICE AND CUT ONCE 🙂 In the end I’ve produced another gorgeous skirt 🙂
Last year I got serious about sewing. I was relentless and I pretty much hounded my husband until he purchased my Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine. His famous last words were, “If I buy this you better use it.” lol From all the projects I’ve done thus far I can’t narrow it down to one favorite but I can say this one is definitely one of my favorites.
As for the style combination, that came about because I like mixing prints/patterns. I know it’s not for everyone but I think it makes for a fun and interesting final look. Learning the art of mixing prints and patterns came easy to me because I’m a pretty eclectic person. In the end, it’s all about how you wear the outfit. When I make something you better believe I wear it with confidence.
EMBRACE YOUR CROWN
There’s joy in making your own clothes. Besides having a great fit, it’s a good feeling knowing the likelihood of running into someone wearing the same outfit as you is slim to none 🙂
If you know me you know I love my black political tees. Next time I wear this skirt I’ll pair it with one of my tees just to show you the look can be just a beautiful dressed down as it is dressed up 🙂
Bye guys 🙂
