Almost done!

Hey peeps, I know I’ve been M.I.A for awhile. I’ll TRY to work on that 🙂

Recently I purchased some african print fabrics. I had never used any of the African wax print fabrics therefore I was eager to do so. This was my first time sewing anything with this fabric and I have to say I really love it.

Constructing clothing and having it hang on my dress form is nice but the excitement comes when I actually try the garment on. The first item you’ll see is a long maxi skirt with in seam pockets. I paired it with a graphic tee from Artistic Tee:  http://www.artistictee.com  and as for my hair, my locs are curled up on pipe cleaners. Sometimes when I mention “pipe cleaners” people look confused so I inserted a photo below.  I wore the pipe cleaners for two days.

I know this post has looooooots of photos but that’s because I’m combining the two of the three fabrics I purchased.

From the next fabric, I made a mini skirt. I actually like a good mini skirt or dress… I know not everyone does.  Note to self, don’t wear a mini in windy weather!!  I omitted those photos…lol I’m pretty sure you didn’t need to see my underwear 🙂

My my my, I love this print toooooo! Oh and I made those necklaces you see on my dressform. I’ll blog about them later.

You’ll see in the next look, I love mixing prints.  I purchased the shirt from Goodwill awhile ago for about $2.   Oh yeah, I removed the pipe cleaners 🙂
