The saying “opposites attract” isn’t just for relationships, It goes for your sense of style as well. Opposites work well together in regards to fashion. In this case I brought out an oldie but goodie. It’s a skirt I made from my husband’s old BDU pants from when he was in the military. I paired the masculine military clothing with feminine sequins & accessories.
I love the 70’s!!!!! It’s my most favorite era in regards to style. My husband shakes his head and believes I should leave the 70’s on the soul train line where it belongs 🙁 I say Noooooooooooooooooooooo I can’t! I won’t! If it sparkles, has bells for bottoms and a collar for days give it to me and I’ll find a way to mix it with today’s fashions. Despite what some may believe CAMO IS A COLOR….lol.. but it’s better with a brighter pop of color…enter the orange handbag and accessories.
Sparkle isn’t just for the golden girls (as my husband like to say) and they aren’t just for night. I’m sporting this silver sequined tub top in the broad daylight illuminated by this fabulous Florida sun! Don’t be intimidated to add a little bit of shine to an otherwise average outfit. The bolder you are with your choices, the more stylish you appear.
So there you have it. My OOTD:
- Camo/military clothing from rummaged from my husband and redesigned into a skirt.
- Silver sequined tub top $6 from a store liquidation sale
- Wedge shoe, purchased long ago from Burlington.
- Earrings $1 from the flea market
- Shades $5 sale from Kohl’s (Mother’s Day)
- Handbag Jimmy Choo (gift from my husband while in Korea)
